MHT CET Document Verification Process Update for Academic Year 2024-25 | CAP Round 1,2 and 3 Process

Introduction:

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has introduced a streamlined and detailed document verification process for the academic year 2024-25. This process aims to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in handling student applications and related documentation. The new guidelines and infrastructure requirements set a high standard for Scrutiny Centers (SC) across the region.

Key Activities in the Document Verification Process

Activity I: Registration and Submission of Online Application Form

- Registration and Submission:   Candidates must register and submit their application forms online.

- Document Scanning & Uploading:   Required documents must be scanned and uploaded to the portal.


- Application Form Printout:   Candidates should print a copy of the submitted application form.

Important Notes:  

- No charges should be levied on candidates for these services.

- Utilizing the Scrutiny Center for this activity is optional.

- Scrutiny Centers must not retain any original documents of candidates.


 Activity II: Verification of Documents and Confirmation of Application Form

- Document Verification:   Scrutiny Centers will verify documents as per the list on the application form and claims made by candidates.

- Document Handling:   Candidates must bring a printed copy of their submitted application form and the uploaded documents. The Scrutiny Center will verify these documents, stamp them with the date and signature, and return the set to the candidate along with a Receipt-cum-Acknowledgement.


- Grievance Handling:   Centers will handle grievances as per the notified schedule.

- Candidates must report to the Scrutiny Center for this activity.

- No charges should be collected from candidates for this service.


Activity III: Submission of Online Option Form for CAP Rounds I, II, and III

- Online Option Form Submission:   Scrutiny Centers will facilitate the submission of the online option form.

- Form Printing:   Candidates can print their submitted option form.

- Utilizing the Scrutiny Center for this activity is optional.


Instructions and Infrastructure Requirements for Scrutiny Centers

 Key Instructions

- User Account Creation:   Scrutiny Centers must create user accounts using their DTE code and password on the respective admission portal.


- Assistance:   Centers should assist candidates in submitting the online application form.

- Document Verification:   Centers must certify with a stamp and signature that all original documents have been verified.


- Accountability:   Any negligence in document verification will be seriously addressed, with responsibility fixed on the specific individual at fault.


- Unlawful Activities:   Centers involved in unlawful activities such as misguidance or retaining original documents will face severe consequences, including legal action and disqualification.

Infrastructure Requirements

- PCs and Internet:   A minimum of 20 PCs with at least 10 Mbps internet speed, running Windows 8 or higher, and equipped with Microsoft Office 2003 or higher and Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.0 or above.


- Peripheral Devices:   At least one LaserJet network printer and one scanner with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.


- Power Backup:   Electrical power backup facilities (10 KVA, 2 hours backup time).

- Facilities:   Counseling hall with PA system and seating for 60 candidates, waiting room, potable drinking water, and clean washrooms for all candidates.
